He started his career as a factory-direct sales representative for Tennant Company in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Over the next 25 years he was promoted into numerous positions with titles that included corporate sales training manager, Mid-Atlantic regional manager and international sales manager. Throughout his tenure with Tennant, John brought a new level of insight, productivity and professionalism to each of his areas of involvement. John has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive revenue growth, penetrate successfully into new markets and gain a dominant market share.
In his most recent industry experience, John was the Eastern region federal sales manager for Nilfisk-Advance, where he specialized in working with the Department of Defense. John is a professional, hands-on manager who will be developing the Stewart-Amos company's multi-channel sales strategy, with direct responsibility for national accounts, dealer development, and sales and marketing programs.
"Now that Stewart-Amos offers a broad product line that includes both mechanical broom and regenerative air sweepers," says Frank Chulick, president of Stewart-Amos, "the addition of a world-class professional marketing executive like John is the next step forward to competing among the top echelon of sweeping companies, both in the U.S. and in the international marketplace.
"Because of the ease-of-use and durability of our sweeping products, we also see them as being very attractive to the military community. With his extensive Department of Defense experience, John will be able to showcase our machinery to that sector, as well.
"Our Stewart-Amos sweeper owners around the United States have used our machines in all the heavy-duty, extreme use applications a sweeper might encounter and are united in their praise for the sweepers we build. With John's capable assistance, we anticipate being in the mix for every rugged construction, milling and municipal sweeper bid in America within a very few years, as well as have our sweepers in use in selected countries around the world."

About the Stewart-Amos Sweeper Company:
Al Amos founded the company in 1938 as a distributor of mineral processing and aggregate production equipment for the limestone quarries located in Pennsylvania. Today, that division has evolved into one of the mid-Atlantic region's premier suppliers of aggregate crushing and conveying equipment.
Bob Stewart started a road building machinery distribution company in 1947. The sales of asphalt pavers, compaction equipment, earthmoving machinery, refuse bodies and street sweepers fueled the growth of this division. Forty years later, the decision was made for the Stewart division to concentrate on providing specialty wear item solutions for the construction and mining industries, as well as to rent a variety of specialized machinery, including street sweepers.
In 2004, the sweeper rental market had enlarged so much as to provide an opportunity to form a separate company to design and manufacture chassis-mounted, mechanical broom street sweeping equipment. Today, that effort has progressed to where the Stewart-Amos Sweeper Company offers a full line of regenerative air and mechanical broom sweepers for the construction, industrial and municipal markets.
Distribution of Stewart-Amos sweepers is through a network of highly qualified dealers, which provide for the local parts and service requirements of the company's customers. More information can be obtained by visiting our website at www.Stewart-Amos.com or by calling 800-482-2302.
