Re: need advice
It depends on alot of factors. Such as. How much money do you want to invest? How much dust do you need to keep down? What kind of weather do you have? How clean do you need it? How much time do you want to do it in? How much maintance do you want to do? Or have a shop do? How much noise can you mak...

I just don't like the joystick, but, thats all I found so far that I dont like. Let me know what you think of it. Robert Comerc...

600 Help
Thanks for telling me about the rubber. I didn't know that. About the controls. Can I run with both brooms down if I rebuild it to factory, or should I modify it so that I can run with both brooms down? It really help when doing roads. Is there anything I should be looking for in the head adjustment...

1982 600 help
I have an older 600 that has sat in our shop for about 8 years. I'm starting to try to get it running. But, when it comes to running the sweeper part, I have no clue. I need information on the controls and also about changing rubber and so on. Also if anyone can tell me what kind of work this unit c...

Help with a Whirlwind L
We have a 1997 Whirlwind. I am looking for any information on it including tips and tricks. The center broom is getting worn out in about 100 hours. The passenger side head is bad. We went to the local dealer twice at $500.00 each time for instruction on this unit. Each time they were more intereste...

Victory
Hello Todd. I just wanted to say it was nice to meet everyone at Victory when I was there in March. It was great to see the trucks as they were built. I wish I would have had more time there, but, I had to get back to work. Also I wanted you to know that I hired a Salesman for the T-500. Hopefully h...

Bids alot
You have to play with the quality and pricing areas. We change them around for Muni, Parking, Construction and 1 time sweeps. Once you learn the #'s in the quality and pricing area it's pretty easy. If you don't play with it then it's so low you will lose money.

BioDiesel
We've been looking in to it also. We found a kit that sells locally for around 8000.00. About the only modifications I have heard about is to make sure you change your feul filters more often as the BioDiesel will help clean out the garbage, in more ways than 1.

Bids A Lot
We use it. It's not a bad way to do bids. If you play with the quality and pricing areas in it you can get really close. Its faster for me in my head. After almost 12 years of this I hope I can do it. But the software is pretty good. Its one of the best bidding programs on the market. Our General Ma...

Sorry
Sorry to everyone that has helped me with this stupid broom. I gave up for awhile on it. Other things took priority. I will try to get back to it soon.
Until then I just had to say thanks. I just bought a 1997 Elgin Whirlwind L that I'm sure I will need some info on.
Thanks again,
Robert

RV Lot Sweeping
It depends on alot of different factors, also how often you want to do it. Alot of the RV parks I've been to use a tow behind model. Which is great for the once in a while person. Yet in Oregon we deal with a slight leaf and rain problem. Most of the RV Parks here hire sweeping company's to clean up...

Still Playing with it
Still trying to get it going. With leaf season and all the rain we just have no time. Hopefully I will get time early enough to have it on the road before spring. Thanks again for the info.

This stupid Mobile Broom
OK I found out that it is a Mobile M-7. Both engines are gas. A 6 & A 4 I think. My brain was'nt working this morning. I also found out that the side brooms are bad, the rear broom needs to be replaced, ( it's a chain driven), and the kill switch is dead. Hopefully I can at least by pass the kill sw...

Thank you
Thanks to both of you. I am trying to get over to it this week. To much work not enough time. I do remeber that I was told that someone bypassed the Murphy Switch at one time. I just wish I knew how to get more hours out of the day.
I'll post here as soon as I find out more information.
Thanks again.

69 Mobile
Sorry Dwan I haven't been able to find any markings on it. I will keep looking for something on it. Sorry, I've just been really busy with building a mobile pressure washing truck and trying to fix our old flush truck.
